2012 Membership Application

We are pleased to have about 140 members at this time who cover a wide spectrum of interests. Our members mostly join to enjoy the company of other like-minded people in a relaxed setting and to help support efforts to keep West Newbury horse-friendly.  Some join just as a thank you for our efforts at Pipestave and others for our open spaces, some no longer ride but want to stay up-to-date on our horse world, and some have moved away but stay connected to W. Newbury through us. We appreciate all kinds of interest.

The internet is our primary form of communication, both for financial reasons and to be as "green" as possible.  We stay in touch with our members in several ways:

Newsletters: 
Our Club newsletter is produced every quarter by our wonderful newsletter editor, Nady Peters, and there are interesting articles including profiles of our members, local information, details of upcoming activities, news about members and classifieds.  Individual and Family members are welcome to place classified ads for non-business items, horses, etc.  Business members can place a classified add free in every newsletter.  We also welcome input from our members with articles, news about you and your horses, photos, etc.  Please contact Nady, wnrdcnewsletter@yahoo.com.  The newsletter is posted online at our website and members receive an e-mail to let them know when it is "published" and available to read.  Click here to read newsletters.

Facebook and Yahoo Group: 
If Club members wish to communicate with each other and/or get word out about something for sale, a trail ride or any other member to member contacts, we offer two ways to do that.  Each are very easy to do and are free.We are now on Facebook and we also have a Yahoo group.  Most are familiar with Facebook and the Yahoo group is similar.  For the Yahoo group, go to yahoo.com and click on Groups. Search for wnrdc and follow instructions.  The Yahoo group is for members only.  If you have any questions, contact Nady Peters, wnrdcnewsletter@yahoo.com, who moderates the group for more information.

The West Newbury Riding and Driving Club will not accept members who have any history of animal abuse or neglect documented by the local Animal Inspector/Control Officer and/or the MSPCA.
