“Braveheart Beasts” Clinic at Wind Crest Farm Re-Cap

The weekend of May 19th-21st saw 9 participants and 9 auditors gain new insights on communicating with their horses from nationally recognized Liberty Horse trainer, performer and instructor, Kayleigh Hamel. Working with small groups and individually, Kayleigh patiently encouraged handlers to use their mind and body language, as well as gentle aids, clicks and treats, to create a more supple, obedient and willing equine partner. The program concluded with Kayleigh’s own two big pinto brothers performing at Liberty, dancing to music, galloping freely, sitting, bowing and obeying her every request.

Co-sponsored with Wind Crest Farm owner and WNRDC Board member Gail Vangelist, the clinic raised $180 to help pay for WNRDC’s new jump trailer. Participants and auditors also received 2023 WNRDC club membership, if not already members.
