WNRDC Covid-19 Safety Protocols for Events and Clinics

Competitors, coaches, grooms

  • Entries are limited to a maximum of 40 to allow for distancing provisions.
  • Due to current circumstances and for this October 2020 event only, if you need to scratch for illness, your entry fee is refundable less the online payment fee.  If you need to scratch for non-illness reasons, your entry fee is refundable less the online payment fee and a $10 office fee.
  • Please park adequately distant from the next trailer to allow for safe physical distancing from your nearest neighbor.
  • Please arrive a maximum of 45 mins before your scheduled dressage time; this gives you ample time to self service pickup your bridle number at the check-in table, tack up, and warmup your horse.
  • Stadium scheduled 30 mins after your dressage giving you time to cool your horse, give water and change tack then warmup and complete show jumping.
  • Please take a brief cool out after completion of your test(s) and then leave the grounds.
  • All scores, tests, ribbons and prizes will be mailed after the event; no scoring will take place at the event.
  • May have 1 person to assist; typically this would be your coach OR a parent OR groom.
  • Sorry, no spectators permitted and there will not be a photographer at this event.

ALL COMPETITORS, COACHES, GROOMS, OFFICIALS, AND VOLUNTEERS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A FACE MASK WHICH COVERS YOUR NOSE AND MOUTH WHILE ON THE PIPESTAVE HILL GROUNDS UNLESS MOUNTED ON HORSEBACK AND PREPARING TO ENTER THE RING.

Volunteers

  • All volunteers will be provided masks, gloves and hand sanitizer.
  • We will have 1 – 2 volunteers to monitor parking and make sure trailers are parked adequately apart.
  • We will have 2 warm up stewards/gate people who will be working alone in a designated area for each discipline.
  • The 2 judges (one for dressage and one for show jumping) will each have a scribe that will be seated more than 6 feet apart, perhaps in 2 separate vehicles.
  • Volunteers will not be expected to have any contact with competitors and/or their assistants except in the event of a safety issue or emergency.

Facilties
Porta-John will be sanitized morning of event; hand sanitizer will be available.

Competitor food and water
No food or water will be provided on site for this event, please bring your own.

Water
Potable horse water will be available, please use good sanitation practices when handling the spigot lever (i.e. gloves and or wipes.)
