Join us on September 10th for Adventure Trail
Why We Do It……….Adventure Trail is our club's annual fundraiser for the Essex County Trails Association (ECTA) and the many trail projects that we all enjoy using when we trail ride. ECTA funds and expertise improved the River Road trail, built bridges and boardwalks in Riverbend and across Chase Street, filled the ruts on Pike's Bridge Road, to name a few. The money we raise and contribute (generally $1000+) from AT is specifically earmarked for West Newbury projects only.
Key Volunteers………..Sophiea Bitel has managed AT for the last seven years, and her creativity and diligence has made it a success. She is mentoring Allison Aamodt and Donna Disario with the planning this year, as she passes them the torch. Deb Hamilton has also been a key volunteer in past years and has shared her knowledge. She is unable to be here this year.
Volunteers Needed!..........We are hoping some of our members will volunteer to help out the day before and/or the day of the event. We need help with setting up and monitoring the trail challenge activities in Ring 1, setting up a few jumps in Ring 2, and monitors at road crossings and a few key trail locations. Please contact Allison Aamodt to volunteer…
Come join us for a relaxing day, either riding or volunteering… and please pass the word along! The more the merrier, as we raise funds for our beloved trail systems in West Newbury. Adventure Trail (AT) is a non-competitive trail ride for teams of 2-5 riders, with optional activities and obstacles just for having fun. We try to design it for all ages, disciplines, and riding levels. Trail and weather conditions allowing, we give you a guided route through the trails and fields of the Pipestave/Mill Pond, Riverbend, and Dunn Farm riding areas. (If you don't have a team, we will try to find you one!)
