Come ride in the West Newbury Memorial Day Parade

Monday, May 27th

Continue the equine tradition! WNRDC members and their mounts add an important and welcome element to the Town's most traditional and unifying gathering. This year marks West Newbury’s Bicentennial and we’re hoping to have a really good club turnout!

If your horse is clean, with clean tack, and is comfortable at a walk or parade walk between crowds, stopping and standing still occasionally, please join us!

Rider suggestions

If you purchased our new WNRDC polo shirt, this is the perfect opportunity to wear it!

Dress in red/white/blue colors.

You must wear appropriate boots and a riding helmet.

Horses

Drape in assorted Stars and Stripes ribbons, bunting, bows etc.

Minis, donkeys, rescues, kids can be led by adults

Horse not parade ready?

Walk on foot (with or without your hooved friend)

Volunteer to walk/hold our WNRDC banner

We hope to have a pooper scooper with a bucket or wheelbarrow at the rear

Monday, May 27th

10:00am - Assemble on Maple St across from the post office

10:30 - Parade

We finish at the Training Field, around 11:30, and hack back home or to trailers parked along Sawmill Brook Rd. Bad weather or slippery pavement, we'll cancel.
