We had a very qualified winner of our scholarship this year. Coltin has volunteered his time and skills for many local equine activities, including ECTA as a trail steward, Cross State Trail Riders and Maudsley State Park clearing trails, Rowley Riding and Driving Club as jump crew for their shows, North East Six Shooters organizing clinics and competitions, and NEER North. In addition, as a Boy Scout he has served food at our horse trials, and most notably completed a major improvement to the Pike's Bridge Road connector trail including coordinating the project and spreading 88 tons of gravel for his Boy Scout Service Project.
Coltin is an active competitor in Cowboy Mounted Shooting Games and cares for 9 horses before heading to school or work. He will be attending Northern Essex Community College in the fall for a year before heading to Westfield State University with the intended area of study of Criminal Justice and Environmental Science. We are very appreciative of his volunteer work and wish him the very best in the future.
