WNRDC MEMBERS ARE INVITED TO RIDE/PARTICIPATE
Continue a West Newbury Riding and Driving Club tradition and come ride in West Newbury's favorite celebration--the Memorial Day Parade! On Monday, May 29, gather at the Post Office at 10 AM and ride east along Main Street to the Training Field as part of the Town's day honoring or soldiers and veterans.
Your horse or pony should be clean, quiet and well groomed, willing to walk between spectators on pavement, stop and stand when necessary, with tack and apparel sparkling clean. Riders should dress in red, white or blue polo shirts, light breeches and black boots, if possible. Patriotic bling is welcome: ribbons, bunting, flagging, stars and stripes on horse and rider are appropriate. Behind the "mounted unit" we invite Leadline riders with attendants, minis, donkeys, driving ponies, and walkers with banners. We'd also like to find a volunteer with a wheeled bucket and manure fork to bring up the rear.
Please call or text Deb Hamilton at 978 270-9129 as soon as possible if you have questions or think you can ride. If weather conditions are not conducive, it is raining or the pavement is wet, we will not participate.
