On May 12th, clinician Peter Whitmore owner of “It’s a Pleasure Training” , https://www.itsapleasuretraining.com/, provided us with an informative and engaging Versatility Clinic which was held at Pipestave Hill. The sold-out clinic was attended by a diverse group of WNRDC members and non-members of various ages (both horse and rider!) whose riding discipline ranged from pleasure trail riders, western, natural horsemanship enthusiasts, eventers, and dressage riders.
There was an extensive variety of obstacles to try; some easy, some more challenging, including a rocking bridge, multi-tiered bridge, water crossing, flags, pop-gun, platforms, barking dogs, sirens, and lights!
Peter helped riders who want to participate in our Memorial Day Parade familiarize their horses with sights and sounds they may encounter that day. At the end of the day, everyone was asking, “When can he come back so we can do this again!”
