WNRDC to Help Support Protected Land

At this year’s Annual Town Meeting, West Newbury voters chose to invest $175,000 from CPA funds to purchase a conservation restriction on over 50 acres of land on Coffin Street.  Protection of this land will provide wildlife habitat and include passive recreation walking and riding trails.  To assist Essex County Greenbelt in concluding the protection of this land, the WNRDC is contributing $250 toward its purchase. Individuals who wish to assist in funding the Greenbelt purchase are encouraged to do so. The Coffin Street trails will connect with the Riverbend Conservation Area, which links to Mill Pond and Pipestave Hill.  This will be a valuable asset to our incomparable West Newbury trail network.
