XC Schooling at Pipestave Hill

  • $20 donation/rider to be paid HERE.
  • Ride ONLY when the footing is firm enough.  Be aware of ground conditions as the area is a mix of sand, dirt, and clay. Trail conditions and closures are posted on our Facebook page.
  • Ride ONLY on mowed paths in the fields and the perimeter of athletic fields.
  • The use of the area is at your own risk. Helmets are strongly encouraged when riding and safety vests when jumping.
  • The rings, trails and fields are open year-round for hacking pleasure and all are welcome. 
  • No lunging or free grazing in the arenas.
  • Please remove all your hay and manure from the parking area when you leave, as we share this area with other activities.
  • Please be aware that dogs are allowed off leash in some areas.

Our Facility:

Nestled off Main Street (Route 113) in West Newbury, the Pipestave Hill Equestrian Area offers a premier riding experience in Northeastern Massachusetts. This scenic venue features: 

  • Two fenced grass equestrian riding rings
  • Nearly 50 XC Obstacles, ranging from 12″ – 2’11”
  • Expansive open fields and hills great for conditioning
  • Miles of well-maintained natural surface trails
  • Adjacent to the venue is the Mill Pond Recreation Area, where horses can enjoy a refreshing wade in the pond.
 

Pipestave Hill is part of the 475-acre Mill Pond & Pipestave Hill Recreation Area – town-owned and permanently protected – making it a sought-after destination for equestrians.
